Blood Drive in Eldon
July 9 - Southeast Iowa Blood Center Blood Drive will be held Wednesday, July 9 from 3-7pm at the Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon. Bring a picture ID and eat before you donate.

July 15 - Southeast Iowa Blood Center Blood Drive will be held Tuesday, July 15 from 3-7pm at the Hedrick Community Center. Bring a picture ID and eat before you donate.

July 10 - American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held Thursday, July 10th from 11:30-6pm at the United Methodist Church in Keosauqua. All donors are required to present an I.D. T-shirts will be given to all presenting Student Donors. Call to make an appointment at 319 293-3167.

Ottumwa - Wednesdays 3:30-6:30pm & Saturdays 7:30-10:30am in the Market Street Parking Lot.
Bloomfield - Saturdays 8:30-11:30am on the northside of the courthouse lawn on the Bloomfield Square.
Oskaloosa - Tuesdays from 4-6pm on the east side of the Oskaloosa square & Saturdays from 8-11am in the Hy-Vee parking lot.
Fairfield - Wednedays from 3:30-7pm and Saturdays from 8-1pm at Howard Park. Special music also planned every Saturday for the month of July. Questions call 641 919-9930.
Packwood Quasquicentennial Celebration
September 6 - Packwood Quasquicentennial Celebration will be held Saturday, September 6th. Breakfast, dinner, and supper along with parades, pedal pull tractor event, garden tractor rodeo, kid's activities, music, and a street dance. Everyone is invited.
Temple Bible Time
July 13-18: The Ottumwa Baptist Temple is hosting "Temple Bible Time", July 13-18 from 6:30-9pm. Temple Bible Time is a VBS for ages 4 thru 19 years. Each evening includes rally time, classroom Bible teaching, missionary story, refreshments, and daily award ribbons. A special Parents and Awards night will be Friday, July 18th. The church is located at 238 W. Williams in Ottumwa. Drive-ins are encouraged. Those needing bus transportation or additional information should call 682-4836.
Vintage Cruisers in Ottumwa
July 19 - The Vintage Cruisers Car Club proudly presents "Memories 2008" on Saturday, July 19th at Bridge View Center in Ottumwa. This is the 11th Anniversary Car Show and "The Hottest Show in Southeast Iowa". Cruise night will be held Friday night, July 18th at 5pm at the Park Shelter House in Greater Ottumwa Park. Cash prizes will be given away. Special events include the 4-H Expo Exhibits in Bridge View Center, Poppin' Johnnies Two-Cylinder Tractor Club, and the 4-H Sweet Corn Feed at 12noon. 32 classes with three awards per class plus special awards. Trophies by Keokuk Trophy Outlet.

Volunteers Needed at Lake Red Rock
April thru September - Spend the summer camping at Lake Red Rock for free! The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will provide a free, full hook-up campsite to volunteers in the following position: Whitebreast Beach Volunteer and Wallashuck Mowing Volunteer. Volunteers are needed from late April thru mid-September 2008. Contact Park Ranger Junifer Kruse at 641 828-7522.
