About Carmen:
Es originaria de México de un pueblito llamado Lerdo Durango, mejor conocido como "La Comarca Lagunera". Ella empezó a escuchar La Onda Latina a unos meses después de que ya estaban al aire, y se ganó un boleto en uno de los concursos de La Onda Latina. Lorena la invitó a contestar los teléfonos y cuando menos lo pensó ya estaba como locutora, entre canciones y chistes ella trata de pasarsela bien con los radioescuchas. Ella está casada y tiene cuatro hijos los cuales la mantienen entretenida cuando no está en uno de sus trabajos voluntarios. Tiene viviendo en Iowa desde el año 2000, antes vivía en Dallas Texas. Le gusta la tranquilidad de este pueblito, nada tan antrabancado como las ciudades. Le encanta ver las maravillosas estaciones del año y disfrutarlas pero también le gustan las armas de fuego. En su tiempo libre le gusta tirar al blanco en compañía de su familia y amigos y es una forma de pasar un buen tiempo. Su propósito para el show es mantenerlo con algo divertido e informativo para todos. Uno de sus lemas que hasta ahora la ha mantenido es "Siempre da lo mejor de ti y podras alcanzar tu metas."
Carmen is originally from Mexico, a little town called Lerdo, Durango, Mexico. Radio has always been a dream job for Carmen. She came across La Onda Latina a few months after the the show began on air, and in one of La Onda Latina's ticket give-aways, she met Lorena. After getting to know each other, there was an offer for a job answering the phones for the show. After one week of answering the phones she got the position of On the Air Co-Host. Carmen is married to a wonderful Iowan native and has 4 kids. They manage to keep her busy when she is not at one of her many volunteer jobs. She lived in Dallas, Texas for most of her life. But moved to Iowa in 2000 to be close to family. She misses the activities in the big city but she loves the school system here and the view of every season. In her spare time she likes to shoot one of the many firearms making it a family passtime.
"My goal is to make the show interesting for ALL Spanish and non-Spanish speaking listeners. My motto is 'Always give your best, and you will go far.'"
